The images in the Command and Control section show
the portions of the ship where the ship was navigated and controlled
from. Navigating a ship requires good seamanship, an ability to
read the weather and stars, and a certain amount of luck. The
journey of the USS Oregon around Cape Horn is a strong
testimony of the skills of the American sailor.
